Advanced Welding & Fabrication Project

Sasha Harvey (Year 10) is rapidly progressing with the e-go-kart build. She has turned the steering wheel axel stubs on the lathe, made her own M12 castellated nuts, fabricated the uprights, which the axel stubs are welded into. These were made from 20x2 SHS (Square Hollow Section) tube, with welded end caps.
She then welded the canted steering levers. Next came the long M6 bolts, which the steering will pivot around.

Sasha has now started the steering mounting brackets, which we look forward to seeing!
